Chapter 21, Verse 5, The Prophets
سورة الأنبياء
بَلۡ قَالُوٓاْ أَضۡغَٰثُ أَحۡلَٰمِۭ بَلِ ٱفۡتَرَىٰهُ بَلۡ هُوَ شَاعِرٞ فَلۡيَأۡتِنَا بِـَٔايَةٖ كَمَآ أُرۡسِلَ ٱلۡأَوَّلُونَ
bal qaloo adghathu ahlamin bali iftarahu bal huwa shaaairun falyatina biayatin kama orsila alawwaloona
Nay, they say:"These (revelations of the Quran which are inspired to Muhammad ﷺ) are mixed up false dreams! Nay, he has invented it! Nay, he is a poet! Let him then bring us an Ayah (sign as a proof) like the ones (Prophets) that were sent before (with signs)!"
Chapter 27, Verse 66, The Ant
سورة النمل
بَلِ ٱدَّٰرَكَ عِلۡمُهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي شَكّٖ مِّنۡهَاۖ بَلۡ هُم مِّنۡهَا عَمُونَ
bali iddaraka aailmuhum fee alakhirati bal hum fee shakkin minha bal hum minha aaamoona
Nay, they have no knowledge of the Hereafter. Nay, they are in doubt about it. Nay, they are blind about it.
Chapter 37, Verse 12, Those who set the ranks
سورة الصافات
بَلۡ عَجِبۡتَ وَيَسۡخَرُونَ
bal aaajibta wayaskharoona
Nay, you (O Muhammad ﷺ) wondered (at their insolence) while they mock (at you and at the Quran).
Chapter 37, Verse 26, Those who set the ranks
سورة الصافات
بَلۡ هُمُ ٱلۡيَوۡمَ مُسۡتَسۡلِمُونَ
bal humu alyawma mustaslimoona
Nay, but that Day they shall surrender,
Chapter 38, Verse 8, Sad
سورة ص
أَءُنزِلَ عَلَيۡهِ ٱلذِّكۡرُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِنَاۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ فِي شَكّٖ مِّن ذِكۡرِيۚ بَل لَّمَّا يَذُوقُواْ عَذَابِ
aonzila aaalayhi alththikru min baynina bal hum fee shakkin min thikree bal lamma yathooqoo aaathabi
"Has the Reminder been sent down to him (alone) from among us?" Nay! but they are in doubt about My Reminder (this Quran)! Nay, but they have not tasted (My) Torment!
Chapter 56, Verse 67, The Event, The Inevitable
سورة الواقعة
بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ
bal nahnu mahroomoona
"Nay, but we are deprived!"
Chapter 68, Verse 27, The Pen
سورة القلم
بَلۡ نَحۡنُ مَحۡرُومُونَ
bal nahnu mahroomoona
(Then they said): "Nay! Indeed we are deprived of (the fruits)!"
Chapter 75, Verse 20, The rising of the dead
سورة القيامة
كَلَّا بَلۡ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡعَاجِلَةَ
kalla bal tuhibboona alaaajilata
Not [as you think, that you (mankind) will not be resurrected and recompensed for your deeds], but (you men) love the present life of this world,
Chapter 82, Verse 9, The Cleaving
سورة الإنفطار
كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
kalla bal tukaththiboona bialddeeni
Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds).
Chapter 87, Verse 16, The Most High
سورة الأعلى
بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا
bal tuthiroona alhayata alddunya
Nay, you prefer the life of this world;
